I have an HP Instant Ink subscription so I don’t mind printing one time use color activities… but if you want to use the activity again you can always put it in these dry erase pockets or laminate the activity. You’ll definitely want to do that if you’re using it in a classroom setting.
I prefer to use my clear mat and have the kids work right on top of the letter of the alphabet..
While we have built up pretty the Lego stash.. it is still difficult to find multiple bricks of the same color and size.. so I recommend that you suggest to the children to mix the colors. It’s more creative this way and the letters look cooler with more colors.

Everything is more fun with LEGO! So we try to incorporate blocks into as many of our learning activities as we can. As my oldest learns to read and my youngest works on the alphabet, letters play an important role in our home. So I made another version of a LEGO alphabet with printable challenge cards.
The former has two-dimensional letters built on a baseplate. How is it different? The letters here are three-dimensional, and can stand alone. The designs are more challenging and better suited to the building skills of ages 5+. They are both excellent at helping our children master uppercase and lowercase letter formation while they develop spatial and problem-solving skills at the same time.
