Hi, Rafa is here again to fill in for Rex on another random puzzle — it’s Saturday this time! As a creator, editor, and fairly active member of the Crossword Online™ Community, I sometimes struggle to talk publicly about puzzles. I understand/respect (and even agree?) this, but I still love these points!
I probably threw this across the room a few times that day
The biggest problem for me is the AVERAGE joe (slightly more in the language, I’d say?) instead of the AVERAGE GUY and it *is* a big problem because OH jEEZ(it’s my best spelling, and I say ?) it works like OH GEEZAnd I don’t expect it on a volcano and in Yiddish. So you spent a few minutes thinking about all the meanings of “double” (there are many! — this fact made it a crossword topic earlier this year) until you I got out of that problem.
The signs are usually fun and quirky, with lots of information. Maybe too much wordplay? Some of the characters were really tortured ([Where is the source coming soon?] for the SPA and [What is the flow for the meter?] for the TAXICAB,
