I used an Arteza brush to add rainbow colors to a piece of mixed media paper. By first coloring and then cutting out the letters, you’ll have two backgrounds – one to use now and one to use later!

Today’s card features the NEW Shiplap Background and Death Boss Lady Alpha stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. I stamped the background on mixed media paper and painted it with real Arteza brushes before cutting it into strips and laying it diagonally across the card front. I stamped the trees in black and added some die cuts for a fun birthday card for men.

Today’s card was quick and easy to create using a patriotic themed paper block and adding just a few embellishments.

I’m on the Stamp Simply blog today with this incentive card. I cut the window out of a cracker and painted it with white acrylic paint before sanding it down a bit to distress it. I added a cheesecloth curtain and images/sentiments from the God Take Care of You Stamp and Die Set.

I’m over on the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps blog today with a wedding card! To create the card, I inked a 3D Doily embossing folder with gray paint, inserted a piece of light gray paper and ran it through the machine. I lightly inked the doily with white pigment ink to make it stand out a bit more against the background. The dress, tuxedo and bouquet were stamped with waterproof ink and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them and added a die cut to one corner of the card. Fast, easy and elegant!

You know I love getting out the Going Postal set, and this time I used it to create a bright and fun friendship card. I couldn’t resist adding white polka dots to the flowers with a white gel pen and some flat pearl cores for added texture.

I’m over on the Stamp Simply blog today, sharing this fun patriotic scene I created using a few different stamp sets and a bright and fun God Bless America paper pillow. I created some mini pinwheels by cutting a 3/4 inch square, cutting each corner almost to the center, and bending every other point. I glued glitter to the center and cut a toothpick in half for the wand.

Today I want to share with you a masculine monochrome card featuring the BRAND NEW Shiplap Background stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. I stamped it and cut it into pieces, etching the edges with open scissors before adding it to a piece of blue cardstock. I used cheesecloth and images from Peace Be Still to complete this textured boyfriend card.

To create my card, I painted a piece of mixed media paper with three shades of brown ink. I cut out the side with mixed media dies and glued it on top with a second piece of mixed media paper. I then used pencils to color in the roses and leaves and lightly pressed the text stamp on top. I cut the flower with Bloom, Colorize from watercolor paper and colored it with pencils.

To create my card today, I started with a piece of craft card and traced over it with white pigment ink. I then punched the coffee words out of texture tiles 9 at the top and bottom and applied the lace, dictionary page pieces and burlap. Using distress ink, I inked onto watercolor paper, cut it with a round die and stamped some text from Texture Tiles 1 on top. After fussy cutting one of the coffee cups from I Like Big Cups, I added some lace to the front. A sentiment and two small hearts complete this distressed mixed media card.

Have you ever used canvas paper for your cards? My Instagram friend Cassie Lynch uses it to create fun embellishments for her lovely cards, so I decided to give it a try. I actually used the reverse side because I wanted more of a vintage look rather than pure white. It was really fun to work with and I really liked the texture!

I’m over on the Stamp Simply blog today, sharing this encouraging floral card. I love the NEW 3D Doily Embossing Folder by Tim Holtz that I used on the front of this card. After embossing, I lightly inked the embossed part with white pigment ink to make it stand out more. On-air challenge: I’ll tell you two words. Rearrange the letters in each to make two new rhyming words.

This week’s challenge: This puzzle also involves rhyming. It came from listener James Matthews of Little Rock, Arkansas. Come up with a common 7 letter word. Drop the second letter and you get a 6 letter word that doesn’t rhyme with the first. Also, you can drop the third letter from a 7-letter word to get a 6-letter word that doesn’t rhyme with either of the first two. Alternatively, you can remove the second and third letters from a 7-letter word to make a 5-letter word that doesn’t rhyme with any of the others. What are these words?
