Crosswords have been published in newspapers and other publications since 1873. They consist of a grid of squares where the player aims to write words both horizontally and vertically.
Next to the crossword there will be a series of questions or clues, which relate to the various rows or lines of boxes in the crossword. The player reads the question or clue, and tries to find a word that answers the question with the same number of letters as there are boxes in the related crossword row or line.
Some of the words will share letters, so they must match each other. The words can vary in length and complexity, as can the clues.

I found this puzzle page from a newspaper and found it completely confusing. The sudoku had question marks and stuff all over it, the logic puzzle didn’t make sense, the cryptic crossword was missing some markings (and the clues weren’t numbered, or in order!).
I thought I was getting my value out of the anagram, the alphabet, and the maze, until I realized there was something more diabolical going on here. I finally managed to find a three word congratulatory message well hidden in all these puzzles!
NOTE: I have made a tiny edit to the page. There were no mistakes on the previous page, the editing is practically superficial, but it might make it a little easier if you pay attention.

The crossword was first solved by @NeilW, and @Sconibulus solved the alphametics and maze (go up and vote for them!).
There are 8 question marks, which appear to match the question marks in the crossword clues. By assigning each question mark the correct value, we get 5 1 7 6 2 3 1 4 (9) along the main diagonal. The dotted line with the circle at the end is the same as the one in the logic puzzle, so solving the Sudoku will help fill in the logic puzzle.
The recent edit put a ring around the page number, connecting it to the circles in the anagram puzzle. Thanks to @Arth, it can be translated to REMOVE ALL using the alphabet. We can then remove ALL from the letters, leaving us with E R W A F T.
(After a nudge from the OP) The apparent misspelling of “Margana” is actually an anagram of, well, “anagram”, which ties the logic puzzle to the anagram. Also notice the ellipsis when Margana is about to say her type of number, and the ellipsis at the end of the anagram puzzle. We can’t anagram the letters directly, but if we notice the odd discrepancy in font, we can actually rotate the W to become an M, which gives us FERMAT. Using this we can deduce that the numbers must be: – Mersenne: 31 – Perfect: 496 – Fermat: 257

The “correct” solution to the Sudoku will then use these numbers along the dashed line. If we try to solve the Sudoku with the numbers given, we get 7 in the box in row 5 and column 6. This allows us to fill in the numbers on the dotted line by subtraction, ordered 31, 257 and 496. From here we can solve the grid (thanks @LeppyR64 for solving a critical step in the sudoku!):
The maze looks exactly like the Sudoku grid, which suggests we can overlay it onto Sudoku (as @Sconibulus suggests). Notice that “jump from an arrow” is underlined, suggesting that the code from the alphabet should be used on the squares where we jumped. The numbers in these squares, in order, are: 6, 7, 8, 8, 2, 4, 1, 7, 8, 4, 3, 7. If we then use the alphabetical code, we get WELLDONELOVE, which clearly leads to the solution.
If we overlap the maze results on SUDOKU we get 659 497 5419 251 4782 695 63 47 832 81 42 827 5 which was an older version of the maze, and wrong Sudoku result

There must be a trick to this that I’m not seeing, because it looks impossible. Mersenne primes < 1000 = 3, 7, 31, 127 @Leppy points out that this can be limited to 31 or 127 for Merlin's numbers. However, Mersenne numbers are different from Mersenne numbers (thanks @Arth for pointing this out) so it extends to Perfect numbers < 1000 = 6, 28, 496 @Leppy points out that we can restrict that 496 is Mildred's number. Number < 1000 (that's about a thousand) I don't see how this can be resolved into a unique solution.
@Neil W came up with this first, but I confirmed it and added (most of) the explanations (by the way, italics lined up with roman numerals, which explains the ROMAN in italics in the header.
