Bridal Chorus (here Comes The Bride) For Flute Du
The Bridal Chorus is arguably the most famous wedding procession song of the last 100 years, and it’s likely the processional your mother, grandmother, and many other friends and family use. There are many wedding pieces called “Wedding Marches”, including Mendelssohn’s very popular Wedding Exit Music. Their wedding march was written as an incidental piece to Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” We also carry this piece, in a traditional style and in a contemporary style: the “Wedding March Remix!” The bridal chorus is never sung at contemporary weddings, although in the opera Lohengrin, the bridal party serenaded the tragic heroine Elsa as she made her way to the Bridal Chamber to this tune. The translation, however, sounds a little strange to our modern ears and would seem rather out of place in most weddings today. Attempts have been made to rewrite the lyrics, with no popular results.
The wedding chorus is never sung at weddings today, although the opera Lohengrin, from which the song is taken, featured the bridal party singing it to the bride, Elsa, after the wedding ceremony and while in the bridal chamber. Variously called the Bridal March, the Bridal March, or “Here Comes the Bride,” this is of course the most famous wedding procession and the tune your mother, grandmother, and other family members can sing along to. to have walked down the hall. There have been several attempts to rewrite the lyrics of the wedding chorus, and also some translations of the original lyrics of the opera, but none have achieved any degree of popularity. A primary problem in attempts at rewriting is the march-like nature of the music, which seems to not match most of the lyrics one would expect to hear sung, if this song had ever been sung, during the walk of the bride down the aisle
