The Trash Game emphasizes letter, object and auditory identification skills and takes place on Sesame Street by Oscar’s Trash Can and Oscar and Telly. After emptying a garbage bag filled with objects and letters, you must match the objects with the correct starting letter before throwing them away. In the Shape-O-Matic game you will visit Bert and Ernie’s Apartment where you will learn to distinguish and familiarize yourself with shapes. “What’s My Rhyme” takes place in Big Bird’s Nest and strengthens listening skills by matching words based on their sounds. Big Bird will say an incomplete rhyme and ask you to find the missing word to complete it. You will also go to Snuffy’s cave to play Snuffy Says, his version of I Spy. Snuffalupagus will say a sound and you have to find something in his cave that starts with the same sound. This game teaches phonics and early reading skills and spelling.

Thank you so much for helping my local library! I hope my kid and nieces love it as much as they love Sesame Street! I grew up with this game and something about the sound effects and stuff stuck with you. I like it. The way they do things in these educational games for kids is unlike most games for kids today. They may seem better, but please check these out because you might get more out of them. (not to mention it can be played from ages 3-30 plus!)
