Letters To The Bride Scrapbook Examples – Two months ago my best friend, Bree, hitched herself! It was a beautiful and special day. I only cried a little. (That last sentence is a total lie… I’m sorry.) Leading up to Bree’s big day, a group of family and friends left her a special gift, a letters to the bride scrapbook.

Bree’s mom, Anna, and I discussed the idea months ago. Then earlier this summer we put together a list of family, future family and friends with the help of Josh (the groom’s) mother Patty who we thought would love to share some memories and words of love and encouragement for Bree. Of course, the letters to the bride scrapbook wouldn’t be complete without a letter from the groom!

When completed, the book was wrapped and given to Bree at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.

After we sat around, painting our nails and getting ready for the next day, Bree sat and read, laughed, and shed a few tears as she reminisced about the stories, memories, and hopes she wanted to share with all her loved ones. This is another project. It was very near and dear to my heart especially after the reaction I got when gifting it to my friend. I wanted to give my friend something that wasn’t just a gift I went out and bought, but meant something! I saw all the ideas online for creating a scrapbook of letters to the bride from bridesmaids and the most important people in her life. It took a lot of coordination to make sure the letters were written and made into the book before the rehearsal dinner!

For this to happen, you must first find a book to hold the letters. I found a book that had 12 × 12 pages with the paper sticking out of the clear cover. From there, you need to figure out who should write the letters. I chose all the bridesmaids (because I knew I would see them quite a bit during the process and they are the women closest to the bride), her mother, my mother (who has seen her grow up over the years. ) and the groom. I had them each write a letter to him (as long or as short as they wanted) and add pictures/decorate the page. The book was amazing and my friend cried when I gave it to her and cried after reading several pages that night.

Based on my experience putting it together, there are a few things I recommend. First, bring a book on all the events leading up to the wedding. That way, if you already have paper in the book, you can distribute it to people who write letters so they don’t have to go out and buy any paper. Next, be willing to help people on their page. Some people feel like they are not creative and may hesitate to tackle a project because of that. I helped pull together the page for the groom. He just sent me his letter and the pictures he wanted to include then I sent him a copy for approval. Finally, don’t give letters to the bride on the day of the wedding. As mentioned, it can be emotional for a bride to read. If you want him to read before the ceremony, give him time in the shower or better yet at the end of the rehearsal dinner so he has time to read that night. I really liked this album I found at Michael’s. It is slightly larger than the Bridal Beauty Scrapbook, measuring 8 1/2″ by 8 1/2″. Plus it came with stickers to decorate the front so we chose the phrase “Dear Amy”.

Scrapbook Embellishments And How To Use Them

A few years ago, I started a scrapbooking whirlwind by making 2 books for my girlfriends who got married in 2012. I started very late in the year and didn’t have nearly the arsenal of scrapbooking tools that I do now! So for Amy’s book, it ended up as three layers from last year’s wedding ceremonies, stickers and all kinds of embellishments! Plus I started it right away and did one page/event at a time – which allowed my creative juices to flow on each page.

So I wanted to share some of my favorite pages from these books and at the end of the post there are some tips if you want to make one for yourself or a friend!

This was my first ever scrapped page… I remember being so excited to work with my mom at her kitchen table.

I’m sure we blew up Instagram on their wedding day! So we definitely needed to have a #wagonerwedding page — which included a wood-carved sunflower from their wedding favors.

My absolute favorite page in Lauren’s book was their wedding day page. I just love the photos she chose — by All Aboard Studios.

Their engagement party was Anchorman themed so we chose some of our favorite Anchorman quotes for the page.

My mom and I had fun making pages for our fairy weekend… it was such a great weekend! We included a fairy house, bright purple tablecloth fabric and a small paper scroll to commemorate our moments with our bride reading our favorite memories.

I also love the details on the shower page… since we had panty lines and lavender packets, the book had to have those too! More photos here.

And like Lauren’s, my favorite page in Britt’s book is about marriage. It was such a beautiful day. They had moss covered table numbers so I found some green glittery numbers for the wedding date and included a key with their favors too! So much fun remembering the day through the details.

And now a ton of pictures of Amy… I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites…

Starting on page 1, I loved that I found a bench sticker to remember where Matt waited for his soon-to-be fiancé!

As elaborate as the shower was, I tried to incorporate as much as possible… from the cupcake toppers to the paper flowers in the favor boxes.
