Radio Theatre: C.s. Lewis At War (digital Audio Download)
This full cast audio drama written by Paul McCusker and performed by some of England’s best (See below) including Andy Serkis (Gollum), is a chilling and satisfying depiction of the very devil who tempts us every day to continue our ordinary lives. , which often shows our ignorance of the greatest and simplest plans God has laid out for us.
I remember when I was sitting on the first playback and I heard Screwtape’s (Andy Serkis) voice, “WOOOORMWOOOOOOD, Baby, baby, WOOOORMWOOD!” Watch the trailer below to hear and see what I have to say…
All content borrowed from Screwtape.com is for purely promotional purposes. The cast and crew of Screwtape have done an amazing job in capturing C.S.’s beautiful words. Lewis from the paper and put it on a piece of chocolate candy. Although the content is often “There,” where C.S. Lewis spoke, and made his work interesting. CS Lewis’s ability to articulate interesting yet philosophical concepts, makes him a true master and spiritual giant for our time.
Clive Staples Lewis The dramatization itself is so deep in the talent of the actors/actresses as well as the deep layers of sound effects and richness that as soon as you sit in your chair or car, you are instantly transported to Hell… or even England. But the sound effects are so detailed that you will quickly lose yourself in the demonic world. It’s really a look inside the world and I have no doubt that if Satan had real power, this drama would never know.
Chronicles Of Narnia By C S Lewis
The Screwtape Letters first appeared in London’s Guardian newspaper during the dark days of World War II. In 1942, The Letters were published in book form in England – dedicated to Lewis’ friend J.R.R. Tolkien. The following year, the book appeared in America to great acclaim.
In his enduringly popular work, C. S. Lewis repeated hell as a horrible bureaucracy. With spiritual insight and wit, The Screwtape Letters Radio Theater is brought by the evil demon Screwtape (Andy Serkis) as he shares his correspondence with Wormwood’s apprentice. The task of a young spirit is to seduce a man in London, during the Second World War.
The letters lead to a dramatic scene, set in Hell or the real world with humans — “patients”, as the demons say. Often diabolically humorous as the story explores adult themes of sin and temptation, Radio Theater The Screwtape Letters ultimately affirms the power of salvation and God’s love.
Some amazing work here… This will be a fun scene to be a part of… You can see and hear the passion.

The site is as deep and interesting as the audio drama itself. There are many things you can do on the site and the Focus web services team have done themselves with this site. They have provided a visual world for fans to fall into, just don’t get burned. Check it out and explore every facet. One thing I really like is how Screwtape has sabotaged the site to try and keep fans from logging in and learning the very details the devil doesn’t want us to learn. Why do you think C.S. Lewis chose to write the Screwtape Letters in the form, similar to satire? Considering that CS Lewis is viewed among the Christian community, how difficult would it be for him to write from an evil perspective?
Michelle In my personal opinion, she chose that style because she first posted the letters in ‘The Guardian’ and that style is the easiest to manage from week to week … The Guardian’ and that style is the easiest to manage from week to week. You don’t need to read the previous weeks to understand what was said that week. As for the second question, Lewis himself was disturbed by what he wrote, why it was so important that it was written. The two most important things in any war are to know
