Styrofoam letters make great lightweight thick letters and we faced these letters with thin wood for a more polished look. We decided to take a quick and disposable product and improve it with more fonts and sizes, custom cutting with real tools, and professional latex paint.

We chose colored polystyrene foam letters to make a quality product. Because of the air pockets in the material, the signs of luxury and dirtiness will be visible after the letters are cut. Foam is waterproof and resistant to mildew, but the letters are valuable indoors.

We recommend liquid silicone for safely painting heavy letters on mounting surfaces. The paper mounting model helps with spacing and alignment.

With a flat floor standing up each letter will have room to allow them to stand. This may reduce the length of your letter slightly depending on the font chosen. Some letters, like J, P and F, may need extra support to stand. This can be done by applying liquid silicone to the bottom of the letter, attaching it to the base, leaning it on the letter near or above the wall. Bold letters will be easier to stand.

Letters will have marks and dirt. Strong solvents will dissolve the material. Colors may vary from the screen due to monitor settings. Please contact us for product samples.

The length of the letter you order is based on the capital letter “A” of the font you specify. Depending on the text, some upper/lowercase letters may be shorter or longer than the length you specify on the format so they will match each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your letters in different sizes than the letter length you were ordered. If all letters are ordered in lowercase, we still scale the letter to an uppercase “A” which will make most of the letters less than what they are ordered. Large foam letters are very interesting during a special event, decorating a sales space, or for taking a cool photo. We custom cut these large polystyrene letters with a router or hotwire for a clean finish. Thicker wires can be cut on request. These large foam letters are light in weight and boast moisture and resistance properties.

Custom Foam Table Letters

You can finish the letters with common latex paint. Strong solvents found in paint and thick enamel paint will dissolve the material. Large foam letters can be painted in our professional paint shop. When ordering paint, we will face the letter with a bit of Masonite wood for a smooth finish. The parts will have pocket tags. We paint the face and sides, but not the back unless you upgrade to the Vertical option. Open letters like B, D, O, P will be cut to reach the middle. Letters will have marks and dirt. Do not finish with harsh solvent based paint. Please contact us for product samples. Vertical Bubble Capitals The vertical option means we will cut the bottom of the letters flat, reducing the height of the letter slightly. Most letters will stand on their own, but some letters like F and P may need help. We recommend using double-sided mounting tape to the bottom of the letter, attach it to the base, lean on the letter near or above the wall. Bold letters will be easier to stand.
