Addams Family Piano Notes Letters – Written by Danny Elfman for the 1993 stop motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas and also covered by Marilyn Manson.

It was really hard to try to work out, because part is spoken, parts are sung with multiple voices in a chorus, and the whole thing has a bunch of random wontons to give it an eerie feel – I’ve done my best to give you bits to play with and work with anyway 🙂

It’s a little strange, but for some reason Nat really enjoys spending his free time on his laptop (ideally with a coffee and a cat) instead of “going out” or “having fun”!

It was created by hand, pixel by pixel, note by note with the intention of sharing well known and loved songs in an easy to read format to encourage beginners and hobbyists 🙂 “The Addams Family Theme” is taken from the 1964 TV series. and, later, the film of the same name from 1991.

The Addams family is an aristocratic but creepy and definitely quite eccentric and spooky family. In the beginning, before it became a TV series and a movie, it was a cartoon designed by cartoonist Charles Adams, which was first published in 1938.

As for the film’s theme music, this was composed by Vic Mizzi. The orchestration is very simple and is based mainly on harpsichord and fingerpicking.

It uses the first 5 notes of C major, as you can see in the chart that accompanies the song’s notes.

Watch the video several times and study each part at your own pace until you get the hang of it. Remember to use both hammers as much as you can – not just the one that works for you (eg the right one if you’re right-handed), as this is an important fundamental technique.
