How many times is the “fa mi-fa re” motif heard in the first part of the song? Or, more, how many similar meters are repeated?
Find four bell-like instruments, share them with four children, and play in this order: (Don’t forget to sing along!).
Classic Christmas Songs
For the first 4 meters, play the first sound (like a small bell) on the first beat of each meter (4 times).
On the next 4 meters, in the same way, add a second sound (such as a triangle), while the previous sound continues.
Continue for the next 4 meters with a third note added to the previous two (such as a glockenspiel A or D note) and finally a fourth note (such as a jingle-bell – also called a sleigh bell – or small cymbals). add up 4 meters Are you looking for an easy version of Carol of the Bells sheet music to play on the piano? Wonderful Christmas Time
This piece was written in 1914 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich. He certainly wrote music like no other! In the 100+ years since it was first written, Carol of the Bell has become a Christmas song known throughout the world, featured in many films, and performed by many famous composers.

The first version keeps everything nice and simple. The left hand is limited to single notes and a few intervals.
The intermediate version of the carol of the bells adds a few extras, like 3rds when the ostinato goes up, and some 16th notes on the chorus. It adds a little more spice to the song!

I chose to arrange the carol of the bells in the key of a minor. This makes it especially easy for those who are new to the piano, as a minor has no sharps or flats.
The overall structure of the song is simple. It begins with a repeating pattern in the right hand that continues for quite a few measures. (Also called ostinato). This pattern will eventually move to higher notes, and then start into some flowing melodies and scales.
Along with the easy version, I have tried to keep the left hand very simple as well. It has single notes or intervals throughout the song, so you don’t have to worry about moving around a bunch with both hands at the same time.
When you learn this song, don’t forget to pay attention to the dynamics too! I’ve included some of the notes on the music, but here are some additional notes:

Although the notes of Carol of the Bells may sound intimidating, it is actually composed of very simple chords.
While the ostinato is repeating, there is no specific chord occurring. But once we get to the “chorus” section there are very clearly defined chords.
During this section, there is a huge opportunity for creativity and improvement. You can improvise by playing literally any note in a minor scale (so any white keys!).
Actually my dad and I like to teach this piece – as a way to learn to improvise. While it’s fine to stick to the original melody, you can add different intervals, change the rhythm, or even create new melodies!

The overall chord for this section is E major. If you’re feeling adventurous, try adding an E major inversion in the left hand after playing the base note.

The melody of Carol of the Bells is moderately difficult and has 11 notes (9 naturals and 2 accidentals) as you can see on the chart after the song’s notes.
A point that needs more careful study is at measures 13-14, along the ascending scale where C# also appears.
Watch the video a couple of times and read each part at your own pace until you get the hang of it.
Remember to use both mallets as much as you can – not just the one that’s more convenient for you (ie the right one if you’re right-handed) as this is an important fundamental technique.
