It was released on September 23, 2008 through his own record label, Martyr Inc., under Hickory Records/Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The album sees Everlast move away from hip hop in favor of alternative rock and blues rock. The album peaked at number 15 in Switzerland, number 61 in Germany, number 78 on the US Billboard 200, and number 132 in France.

All tracks on the album were written and produced by Keefus Ciancia and Everlast, except for “Naked” and “Folsom Prison Blues” produced by DJ Lethal.
