Mini Light Box Letters – If you’re on Instagram all day like I am, you’ve probably noticed that lately, a lot of influencers and bloggers have been using cute mini lightboxes as backdrop decor. Chances are, the lightboxes you’ve seen are from my Cinema Lightbox and since I’m always on the lookout for interesting elements to add to my blog photos, I was very happy that the company sent me their Mini Cinema Lightbox ($29.99 USD) for my review. My Cinema Lightbox offers free shipping on orders over $55, and since all lightboxes have letter tiles, the price works out to be the same as the Heidi Swap Lightbox available at Michael’s (which I eyeballed quite a bit before getting it). Measuring 20 by 15 by 4 cm, the Mini Cinema Lightbox (also available in original and extra large sizes) is a perfect decor piece for a small apartment or bedroom. I personally use it as a customizable photography prop when taking photos for blogs. Included is a USB adapter so you can plug it directly into any computer USB port to light it up The small lightbox can be lit up portable with six AA batteries.

I personally would have appreciated an inclusion of a wall adapter but they can be purchased separately for $10 USD. The actual lightbox is pretty simple, it’s all white with two small slots in the back for wall-hanging purposes. There’s an on and off button, and three rows for tile inserts on the front.

Mini Cinema Lightbox contains 100 letter, number and symbol tiles. You get four blank tiles to arrange as you wish. Changing characters is very easy although the tiles do move around a bit so you need to make sure the lightbox stays upright. You can fit about eight tiles in each row so if you’re thinking of spelling out long words, larger lightboxes may work better. Once turned on, LED backlights will illuminate the box; The light emitted is soft and cool. If your room is big enough, this thing can actually work as a night light.

Also available as an add-on to the Mini Cinema Lightbox is the Vibrant Letter Pack ($7.99 USD). These include multicolored letters, numbers and various symbols. For the larger lightbox, additional tile packs are available and hopefully My Cinema Lightbox will introduce more sets for the mini lightbox. They certainly make changing designs more fun.

Overall I am very happy with my Mini Cinema Lightbox! I think this is such a simple yet creative outfit idea that’s great for parties, new parents who want to track their baby’s age, and bloggers like me who are always on the lookout for fun and customizable photography props.
