While this document will provide basic information on how to prepare and submit a manuscript as well as other important information about ing, authors are also encouraged to visit the ACS ing center for more information on everything you need to prepare (and review) a manuscript ACS Journals and collaborating journals, such as
All ACS journals and partner journals have simplified format requirements to support a simplified and standardized initial manuscript submission format. Read more about these requirements and the benefits of these services for authors and reviewers here.
These templates facilitate the peer review process by allowing authors to place artwork and tables near where they are discussed in the text. Learn more about document templates here.
Please refer to the list of acceptable software and appropriate file names to ensure that your file type is compatible with ACS Paragon Plus. Manuscript information generated from TeX/LaTeX is also provided.
Effect Of Timing Of Staged Percutaneous Coronary Intervention On Clinical Outcomes In Patients With Acute Coronary Syndromes
Each manuscript submission must be accompanied by a cover letter. During the submission process, you can type or paste it into the submission system or attach it as a file.
Include a journal-specific list of sections/components and any descriptions (if required). Title, Author List, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text (Introduction, Experiments, Results, Discussion/Conclusion), Acknowledgments, References (Note: References when submitting must follow reviewable submission requirements, figures are included in a separate section ).
This information is provided to reviewers during the peer review process (for review only) and is available to readers of the edited work (for publication). Supporting information must be submitted at the same time as the manuscript. Please refer to the list of acceptable software specified by file and confirm that your support information is visible.
If the manuscript is accompanied by any supporting information files for publication, these files will be made available to readers free of charge. A short sentenceless description of the actual contents of each file, including the file type extension, is required. This description should be marked as Supporting Information and should appear before the Acknowledgments and References section. Examples of full and insufficient descriptions are as follows:
Li Chemical Shift Spectra Of Various Inorganic Compounds That
H NMR spectra of all compounds (PDF)” or “Additional experimental details, materials and methods, including photograph of experimental setup (DOC).”
When including supporting information for review purposes only, please include copies of unused or in-print references. These files are for editors and reviewers only.
All ACS journals strongly encourage authors to disclose the research data on which their articles are based upon publication.
Defined as materials and information used in experiments that validate the conclusions drawn in the article, including original data provided by the authors for the reported study, secondary data reused or analyzed by the authors for the study, and any other replication or replication results required materials.

A well-written paper helps to share your results most clearly. ACS Publications’ English-language editing services are designed to help scientists communicate their research effectively. Our subject-matter expert editors will edit your manuscript for grammatical, spelling, and other language errors so that your ideas are best presented.
The quality of illustrations in ACS journals and partner journals depends on the quality of the original documents provided by authors. Journal producers do not modify or enhance figures. All graphics must be prepared and submitted in digital format.
Any graphs (diagrams, schemes or equations) that appear in earlier publications should include credits citing the original source. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain written permission to reuse this material.
The Current Development And Future Outlook Of Triboelectric Nanogenerators: A Survey Of Literature
The impact of your research is not limited to what you can express in words. Tables and graphs such as charts, photos, illustrations, charts, and other visuals can play an important role in effectively communicating your findings. Our artwork editing service produces publishable figures that meet the specifications of your chosen journal. This includes changes to file types, resolutions, color spaces, fonts, scales, line weights, and layouts (to improve readability and professional appearance).
Manuscripts, figures, supporting information and required tables, as well as manuscript revisions, must be submitted in digital format through ACS Paragon Plus, which requires an ACS ID to log in. Signing up for ACS ID is fast, free and does not require ACS membership. See Appendix 1 for more information on preparing submissions
Add editorial policies for the journal regarding the peer review process, page length requirements, or any other journal-specific policies that do not duplicate any text/policies already listed in the document.
Authors are encouraged to avoid recommending reviewers from the author’s institution. Do not recommend reviewers who may have actual or perceived conflicts of interest. Whenever possible, it is recommended to use an academic email address rather than a personal email address.

If your submission is rejected for publication by this journal, the editor may consider your work more suitable for other ACS Publications journals or collaborating journals and advise authors to consider transferring the submission. Manuscript Transfer simplifies and shortens the submission process to other ACS journals or partner journals, as all co-authors, suggested reviewers, manuscript files, and responses to submission questions are copied into new draft submissions by ACS Paragon Plus. Authors are free to accept or decline proposals for assignment.
Note that each journal is editorially independent. Transferring a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance, as the final publication decision will rest with the editor of the next journal.
Corrections to proofs are the responsibility of the corresponding author. Corresponding authors of accepted manuscripts will receive email notification and full instructions when page proofs are available for review by ACS Direct Correct. Extensive or significant changes to proofs, including changes to titles or author lists, are subject to editorial review.
It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that all authors listed in the manuscript agree on the changes made to the proof. Proofs should be returned within 48 hours to ensure timely publication of the manuscript.

Once the page proofs have been corrected and all authors’ issues resolved, the accepted manuscript will be edited on the ACS Publications website. The first date a document is on the web is considered the publication date.
Publishing of a manuscript on the web may occur several weeks before the publication’s release cover date. Authors should take this into account when planning their patent and intellectual property activities related to the documentation, and should ensure that all patent information is available when first published, either as soon as possible or by post.
All pre-print edited articles receive a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number, which is used to cite manuscripts before and after the paper appears. Additionally, any supplemental information submitted with the manuscript will be automatically assigned a DOI and hosted on Figshare to facilitate open data discoverability and the use of research results.
Once the page proofs have been corrected and all author issues resolved, the manuscript will be edited on the ASAP Articles page on the web. ASAP publications are typically released within a few business days of receipt of page proof corrections, which may be a few weeks before the issue cover date.

The American Chemical Society follows the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when considering any ethical issues related to editing articles, retractions, and expressions of concern.
Authors may request or editor-initiated additions and corrections to address important issues or correct errors and omissions that have consequences after publication. All additions and corrections are subject to editorial approval and should bring new and directly relevant information and corrections to revise scientific facts. Minor corrections and additions will not be edited. If readers find a consequence error in someone else’s work, please contact the corresponding author of that work.
Additions and corrections must be submitted by the corresponding author as a new manuscript through ACS Paragon Plus for publication in the “Additions/Corrections” section of the journal. Corresponding authors should obtain approval from all coauthors prior to submission, or provide evidence that such approval has been obtained. Manuscripts should include the original article title and author list, citations (including DOI), and correction details.
Articles may be retracted for scientific or ethical reasons and may be
