Kids ages 2-4 will love the pictures hidden under the letters and the point of making ‘words’. The bright colors and chunky shape of the letters will really appeal to little ones. As children learn more about letters and their sounds, they can move on to spelling words. My 7 year old ‘borrowed’ the set several times and asked me to write words for him.

I really like the set and the price is reasonable around $25.00. I find only a few minor drawbacks. First, letters are a bit difficult to get in and out of, so if you have a younger child, they may need some help. The second issue is very uneven and the problem but I wish the case was over but it doesn’t stop because of the hinge. It’s a very small detail, but when not in use it takes up less space than laying flat.
