Here’s my ’18… I’m fine with the stock suspension and tire size, but I’m on the fence about the OWL tires. I’m thinking of replacing them with more aggressive AT tires like Falken AT3W, Toyo Open Country AT2… Thoughts?

I have a set of LT duratracs on my Tacoma : They are great, but I didn’t like how they held up in the winter and how noisy they were after 10k miles.

Do you want P-rated or LT tires? After 2 months of shopping, I got a set of WildPeak A/T3W for my 2017 F150. They come with a 55k mile wear warranty, look great and aggressive and are extreme winter rated. From what I have read, they are not noisy and offer good performance on all terrains. I should get them this week – I’ll let you know how I like them.

I just took my brand new 17 KR ( 140 miles ) to Discount tires to exchange the factory white letter good years. BF KO2’s have been well looked at but they are expensive. Allowed a discount of 80 dollars each for trade in. Decided to put the Cooper Discoverer ATP at 275-60-20 at Blackwalls. Better looking in my opinion. As quiet as a factory tire. For comparison, the bfgs are quoted at 1150 otd and the Coopers are 650. That includes Discount warranty, etc included

Having both KO2’s and Duratracs, my vote goes to the Duratracs. I know in the 16″ version, they have the LRC. In the size you want, I can’t say, but if it’s an option, and if you don’t need/want an LRE, they’re worth it. IMO, they’re more great on snow than the KO2’s, and overall, the only thing other than looks, the KO2’s are slightly quieter than the Duratracs.Both look great to wear.

If I modified my ’17 to be a psuedo offroad truck, Goodyears would be my first choice. They are heavy, but no matter what brand/tire you choose, there will be a trade off.

First, that is a Gorgeous truck. Second, maybe I’m oldschool, but I MUCH prefer OWL tires, it just adds to the look of the cars, and the “chop” as the wheels and tires spin.

As far as the 2018 20″ PVD wheels go, I think they look good, but I agree with the older wheels you look better.

Need to replace firestone on my Hummer H3 Excellent deal, looks fantastic, very aggressive quiet ride. Bought these after a lot of research and I’m glad I did. They went into my 2500 HD, it’s a crew cab long bed, with the 8.1 and an Allison transmission. Basically, it’s a heavy pig the size of a bus. These tires replace a set of Kanati Mud Hogs that are junk. They did not balance correctly, even with two substitutes. I replaced several hundred dollars worth of idler arms and ball joints for no reason… They also rode like a cast iron wheel on a cobble stone road. These Falkens though, they ride smooth as silk sheets, no noise, great handling, no vibes up to 95 mph… I feel like I have a new truck. They also handle well offroad, good forward momentum, and the 3 ply sidewalls mean I don’t have to worry about roots and sticks. They handle the rain without issue. No snow yet, but I’m sure that will be fine too.

Great price even with Discount Tire’s mount and balance charge. Saved about $100 total. FedEx ground arrived one day early. Highly recommended.

My dad bought a set of badass super grippy Muthas. He ran them in his truck for a year in a very rural area with no issues. I am good! No road noise on the highway, very grippy on gravel roads. Excellent in slush. These dogs roll!

Good tires. Aggressive tread and sidewall for an a/t but handles well and is quiet on the highway. Only 5,000 miles on them but they look well worn
