Jennifer Maker 3d Letters – I absolutely love my new Cricut Maker 3. It cuts smoothly and runs very quietly. It also cuts quickly, as advertised. But enough technical stuff. Here’s what I want to know: Who’s ready to do some fun with the new, brand new, Cricut Maker 3? I know I have a list of projects that I can’t wait to try. I’d like you to join me on my first big (sort of) new machine project.

Party decorations are always a favorite among friends and family. Many crafters I know who work with paper have done at least a few parties. One of the modern things now is the 3D font. They look great on cake and gift tables.

I made an “N” for my name. The file I used from Creative Fabrica contains all uppercase letters of the alphabet as well as numbers. The download includes 4 different file formats, including SVG, which is what I used. Let’s jump into creating our paper.

Honestly, this is the part that scared me at first. But in the end, it’s like putting together a puzzle. Actually, it was a lot of fun. Let’s do it.

That’s all there is to it. You have made a 3D paper! Of course, I couldn’t stop there. I went back to Design Space and added my name using a fancy font. Then I added my namespace and added an offset. I combined all 3 layers and then used my canvas paper to determine the size. I cut the back from white cardstock, the middle layer from black cardstock, and the top layer from the same glitter cardstock that I used for the letter. To give it more dimension, I attached each layer using foam dots. Much better!

This 3D paper is finished. But this is not the end of this adventure so far. I have plans to use the same files to make some animated characters. The extra layers in it are perfect for setting up to cut acetate sheets and other layers needed to make a rock-like piece.

These letters are also great for decorating bedrooms and classrooms. If you want, you can even make small letters for your child to play with and enjoy. I’m thinking about gift boxes, presentation boxes, project backgrounds…
